|||> After the first album “Preternatural” (Rizosfera 2023)as SPECTRAL UNIT we are studying the connections between visual arts, and music, passions we have shared for years and that are a fundamental part of our being. Our focus in these months is on a project about Abstract Expressionism and the figures of Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Adolph Gottlieb, Hans Hoffman, Barnett Newman, Franz Kline and others. We seek the connections, here partly evident, between the different expressive forms and an approach to creativity that transcends objectification and ephemeral or worse a superficial logic, to explore instead a spectral and archetypal realm and a return to a ritual and magical dimension. Our investigation is producing writings, images, videos, and music, in a challenging search for expressive totality and sharing. Artist by artist, within what has been defined in the History of Art as Abstract Expressionism, we will present our research in the forms we believe are most effective.

The SPECTRAL UNIT platform is and will be the only window on the web that will henceforth exclusively host our reflections in multiple expressive forms. We claim direct control over the web space through which we present our work, establishing an unmediated and direct connection with our audience, in accordance with an aesthetic that is coherent for us.
